Asbestos Training

Asbestos Awareness Training forms an integral part of the HSE's drive to reduce workers exposure to asbestos. Clearwater Environmental has designed various asbestos awareness courses to reflect user groups and general audiences.

You could be surprised, if you work in any of the following occupations, or are working on a building built or refurbished before 2000, you may come in to contact with asbestos:

  • Heating and ventilation engineers
  • Carpenters and joiners
  • Roofing contractors
  • Plasterers
  • Fire & burglar alarm installers
  • Gas fitters
  • General maintenance staff e.g. Caretakers
  • Cable layers
  • Electricians
  • Demolition workers
  • Plumbers
  • Painters & decorators
  • Construction workers
  • Shop fitters
  • Computer installers
  • Telecommunications engineers
  • Building surveyors

Asbestos training Course providers have been invited previously by HSE to help deliver presentations and training in aspects of asbestos awareness. Courses are presented in an open and thought provoking fashion. Candidates are left to form opinions on the hazards caused by asbestos and asbestos products. Hard hitting facts and imagery are not used to shock and disturb the audience.

Asbestos training Courses can be delivered at our head office location in a bespoke training area which seats up to 10 candidates or alternatively run at client's premises. Asbestos training Course durations are available from 2 hours to full day courses.

Asbestos training Courses are based on a multimedia presentation with visual aids. Asbestos training Courses run at Clearwater also includes actual asbestos items examined in the laboratory facility.

Asbestos training Course content generally consists of the following

  • Introduction To Asbestos Awareness
